In 2025, a tornado struck our station during a live broadcast. I led real-time coordination across the newsroom while maintaining clear, steady communication to the public as conditions rapidly deteriorated. We remained on-air as the storm impacted the building, providing continuous coverage that was later recognized with two Emmy Awards and led to an invitation to guest host Discovery Channel’s In the Eye of the Storm Season 3 premiere.
